This is a beautifully decorated, quiet, well-located home in Palmetto Dunes with the most comfortable beds ever. My husband and I took our teen daughter and her pal here for spring break in 2015, and we were surprised at how much larger the rooms are than they look in the posted photos. Also, the furniture includes great, comfy chairs and couches and loads of storage space. The master bathroom is particularly huge with 2 sinks, a giant shower with a built in seat, and a separate room for the toilet. The main TV in the den (there's a more formal living room, too) is giant and has a complicated remote system. The latter has easy-to-follow instructions on a separate sheet, which helped. The spa and nice-size pool take overlook a truly spectacular view of a quiet cove in the back that contain friendly turtles, fish, blue heron and other pretty birds, and even two small alligators, which we named Burt and Stan. Do NOT feed them! It's against the law and will hurt the gators, so be firm with your kids. The beach is about an 8-minute bike ride or 15-minute pleasant walk, or you can call the free dune buggy shuttle to drop you. It's an uncrowded, clean, beautifully wide beach with hard sand so you can bike or play soccer easily on it. Look for dophins and watch out for jellyfish! The house is well-stocked if you like to cook or entertain. We brought in Bullies BBQ, which is always good, and enjoyed going just across Palmetto Funes (there's a bike shortcut near the house) to the terrific new Shelter Cove shops, restaurants, Marina, and events. Don't skip the canoeing or kayaking at Palmetto Dunes; it's relaxing and fun to watch all the birds and wildlife--we got great photos! The kids liked riding to the general store for its famous fried chicken and then picnicking on the beach or by the pool. Note that the spa takes s good 3 hours to warm up so plan ahead. We had trouble getting the pool to heat until Thursday, so that was disappointing since we paid extra for it, but I emailed the rental agent, who had sent a note to check on us and she called the pool people so I suppose that we were just in line behind the other pool issues of other renters. We were in it a lot once it warmed up! We definitely hope to stay in the house again. It's obviously well cared for, and we found the rentsl agent to be extremely helpful, friendly and useful. I just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for all you did to make our stay at 3 Down Wind so lovely. The house was gorgeous and super clean. The ammenities left for us when we got there, i.e. the soaps, toilet paper, laundry detergent, paper towels, etc. was such a nice touch. I've traveled to a lot of different places and stayed in a lot of different rentals and this was by far the cleanest and most welcoming. Coastal Vaction Rentals does a fantastic job!

Roomy and great space for 4 adults and up to 4 kids. Not sure pull out queen bed in sunroom area would work for 2 more adults since that room was connected to kitchen area. We enjoyed the large kitchen, laundry with extra frig and abundant living space. Loved that each bedroom and sunroom had TVs. Lagoon dock was great for turtle watching and grandkids were very interested in alligator (Alvin as they named him) we saw in the water somewhere almost daily. Disappointed that fishing was not recommended from dock. Pool was perfect for our size family of 4 adults and 3 children. In need of updates to electicity since you could not use blowdryers in different bathrooms at the same time. Walk to beach 15 minutes and maybe a little far for younger children. Bicycles and other equipment for getting supplies to beach which would have helped, could be rented locally. In all, a well kept and well furnished home and we enjoyed our week at Hilton Head with our daughter's family.

The house is beautiful with plenty of space for a family of 5. The setting was quiet by the lake and in a cul de sac. The kids loved the lake where they could watch the turtles and alligators up close from the dock. The pool was a good size for cooling off and getting a few laps in. A short bike ride to the beach made the property an all around win for us.

I and my brother's family rented this the week of July 18th. The home is magnificent. The overall interior accommodations and the deck/pool/hot tub/dock/lake are magnificent. Kitchen is awesome, as was the surprises left for us in the garage - beach chairs, floats, beach umbrella, noodles, etc. While the house can sleep 8, the hideabed was uncomfortable according to reports from the 14 year old - best to bring an inflatable bed and your all set.

But overall, the furnishings, electronics and kitchen made this stay just like being at home.

We loved the location in a cul-de-sac but close enough to the beach for easy access. Thank you for the games and puzzles.
